Constitution Is Guiding Light for India’s Growth: Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy
Hyderabad, Jan 26:
Labour and Employment Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy on Monday said that India’s founding forefathers thoughtfully framed the Constitution as a guiding light for the nation’s governance and future.
Speaking after unfurling the National Flag on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day celebrations at the Chennur camp office, the Minister said that Dr. B. R. Ambedkar envisioned the Constitution with the spirit of inclusive progress and growth, keeping in mind the long-term interests of the country.
Seventy-seven years later, Indians continue to live and grow together in unity, which is a matter of great pride, he said.
Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy noted that the present leadership is also working with a forward-looking vision, focusing on the nation’s future requirements and economic growth. He referred to the recent World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, stating that it reflected India’s growing global economic aspirations, and expressed optimism about achieving a $3-trillion economy.
The Minister said that eradication of poverty is crucial for the development of any society and recalled former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s slogan, “Garibi Hatao.” He added that providing housing and employment opportunities for all remains the state government’s core objective, and concrete steps are being taken in that direction.
Emphasising the need for rapid economic growth, he said that a nation can progress only by strengthening its economy. He urged people to work hard collectively to help the country achieve greater success and sustained growth.
Party leaders from the constituency and a large number of local residents participated in the Republic Day celebrations.
