Hyderabad, March 10: Labour Employment and Mines Minister Dr. G Vivek Venkatswamy attended the budget preparatory meeting with the deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka at his chamber in Secretariat on Tuesday. The minister has presented the budget requirements for Labour, ESI and Employment Training departments on this occasion. He sought required funds for the said departments. He said that Labour department has been doing its work efficiently and for the welfare of the labourers.
He said that skilling the youth on part with new age technologies is the priority of employment and training department and hence ATCs are introducting new courses for the youth to be employable in the new age industries. The minister said that language training courses are being introduced in ATCs and it will be a game changer in overseas placement in coming days.
Employment training officials have explained the budget requirement and details of the new proposals on this occasion. The minister said that providing timely and quality treatment besides medicine to the Insured Persons (IP)s is the first priority of the ESI department.
Discussions also done on mines department during the meeting. Mines officials have presented the details of its functions and revenue generation by the department.
Finance Principal secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Labour Commissioner Pamela Sathpati, Director Employment and Training Miss Kanthi Vessley, TGMDC director Bhavesh Mishra, Mines Secretary N Sridhar and other officials from labour and employment department have participated in the meeting.
