EMotorad creates history; earns GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for ‘Largest Electric Bicycle Delivery’ in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh, February 02, 2026: On 31st January 2026, EV Major EMotorad, District Collectorate of Chittoor, Kuppam Area Development Authority and IIT Kanpur came together to do something that’s never been done before: Deliver the largest number of electric bicycles in a 24-hour period earning them the Guinness World Records Holder title.
Kuppam in Andhra Pradesh is a model constituency and one of the nation’s fastest developing cities advancing rapidly in infrastructure, industries and e-mobility initiatives. The rising cost of EVs and unreliability of proper EV service is leaving the “Bharat” layer of India’s population in the stone age. That’s where the HCM Nara Chandrababu Naidu Garu’s “Super Cycle” initiative came in. EMotorad through this initiative empowered 10,000+ families in Kuppam and Chittoor district. These included people engaged in daily economic activities, including small traders, MSME operators, shop owners, cattle owners, milk sellers, and other workers reliant on commuting. For many beneficiaries, this marked their first personal vehicle, offering both financial relief and greater independence.
“This is a model example of a high impact, high currency and high velocity Public-Private partnership. I am absolutely elated to have been able to do this with the District Collectorate of Chittoor and Kuppam Area Development Authority. Special thanks to KADA PD IAS Vikas Marmat Ji & Chittoor District Collector, IAS Sumit Kumar Ji – Kuppam & Chittoor is lucky to have them.”, said Kunal Gupta, Co-founder & CEO, EMotorad.
The record was attempted for 24 continuous straight hours where beneficiaries lined up upto 4 am in the morning to collect their much awaited electric cycles. All electric cycles used for the record were assembled by the EMotorad team in a span of 72 hours before the attempt, involving a total of 1000+ team members.
Commenting on the achievement, Swapnil Dangrikar, Senior Adjudicator, Guinness World Records, said, “This was a record attempt for the largest electric bicycle delivery. This record has never happened before. So this was a new category created. Congratulations to the EMotorad team, you’re officially amazing.”
“This is obviously just the beginning. We have at least 20 other EOI discussions lined up with other Nodal Authorities and Collectorates across India who see the value and impact of our product. The objective is to take this number to 100,000 cycles delivered by November 2026.”, added Gupta.
The electric cycles provided under the initiative are designed for regular commuting and feature a removable and rechargeable battery, pedal-assist riding modes, front suspension, and mechanical disc brakes. Their near to nil running and maintenance costs make them suitable for routine work and household travel.
