ICAI elects New Leadership for the year 2026-27
The 26th Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the world’s largest accounting body, has elected its new leadership for the term 2026–27.
CA. Prasanna Kumar D has been elected as the President of ICAI, and CA. Mangesh Pandurang Kinare has been elected as the Vice-President, with effect from February 12, 2026.
The election was held by the 26th Council of ICAI in accordance with the provisions of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. The newly elected President and Vice-President will lead the Institute during the 2026–27 term, guiding the profession on key matters relating to accounting standards, auditing practices, professional ethics, and capacity building.
