Minister Gaddam Vivek Casts Vote in Mancherial, Predicts 85% Victory for Congress
Mancherial, February 11, 2026:
Minister for Labour, Employment and Mines Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy exercised his right to vote at Booth No. 227 in Hitech City, Mancherial district, on Wednesday.
After casting his vote, the Minister reiterated that voting is a fundamental responsibility of every citizen in a democracy and urged people to actively participate in the electoral process.
Speaking on the occasion, he stated that elections are being conducted in a transparent and free atmosphere under the people-centric governance of the present government. He said the people of the state are satisfied with the welfare schemes being implemented by the Congress government. Despite the previous government leaving the state burdened with debts, the current administration has streamlined the financial situation and is effectively implementing welfare programmes, he added.
Clarifying that there is no police pressure anywhere in the electoral process, the Minister alleged that during the previous BRS government there were instances of misuse of police machinery and arbitrary actions. He recalled that in the past, democracy was undermined, with people being intimidated and deprived of their voting rights in the name of unanimous elections without polls.
In contrast, he asserted that elections are now being conducted democratically, without threats or coercion, under the present Congress government. Expressing confidence in strong public support for the Congress across the state, he predicted that the party would secure a resounding victory in over 85 per cent of the seats in these elections.
Emphasising that voting is crucial for strengthening democracy, the Minister appealed to all citizens to exercise their franchise.
